in your matric (senior/grade 12) year, sometimes you reach that stage where everything just sucks and you just want to quit, but you know that you cant, so you try, and you fail, and you try, and you fail, until you’re tired of failing, and you’re tired of trying. this is how i’ve felt for the past few weeks – it’s been incredibly difficult and busy, but surprisingly enough, it’s been the little things that lift my spirit more than i thought, and this was definitely one of them.
if you’re familiar with the south african blogosphere, you’ve probably heard of talya goldberg, the brainchild behind shades of gold and the tgether blogger network, one half of the chocolate standard, and one of the creatives behind nifty250, an instagram printing service.
about a month ago, i won a competition that nifty250 were running with vida e caffe where if you instagrammed your #DailyCoffeeRoutine, you could win free prints and coffee vouchers (yay me!) i finally got around to ordering my instaprints, and i am so happy with them!
how it works: once you’re on the nifty250 site, you can select any of your instagram photos and get them printed for you in a cute polaroid format (other formats are in the works!) for R4 each! it’s quick, easy and you get your prints within a week (or sooner if you live in the cape town area). they even bubblewrap your prints so much that there’s no chance of anything happening to your prints.
i am a huge fan of the nifty250 team, their blog, and their concept of #socialprinting – if you have them at an event and you instagram a picture with a specified hashtag, they’ll be there on site to live print it for you (more info about that here) ! follow them on instagram, twitter, like them on facebook and read their blog 🙂
here are my 20 prints from my instagram @foyinog 🙂
