travel | dearsolo goes to istanbul [part 2]

on the second day of our trip, we headed out early and while we were walking, we managed to come across this side street that was pretty empty. by that stage, my sister kind of knew the drill (“make sure you get full length shots then details!”), so i handed her my camera and jumped into shmodel mode. i had planned this outfit in my head for about a week and i really liked how it turned out – especially considering the fact that most of the time, midi skirts and flat shoes look awkward.

i seldom get to wear my midi skirt from mr price but i love how i feel in it – like i stepped straight outta Hairspray. my hair that morning was styled by Beyonce (aka i woke up like that) and the bags under my eyes were kindly sponsored by chanel.

my belt and phone case were actually purchases i made the day before in the market – i’d been looking for a metallic plated belt for so long and the only ones i saw in SA were the very skinny ones in Aldo and the very pricey (R1200!) ones in a sandton boutique – whereas this belt cost me $5, so, i win. the phone case was also an impulse buy, because they were also all the rage and i couldn’t find one back home! so thank you, turkish market places!
