Happy New Year! I just wanted to wish you all a wonderful 2015 – I can feel that it’s going to be a great one. With some wonderful matric results in hand (well done class of ’14!) and a move to Cape Town on the horizon, I feel virtually unstoppable – you can’t @ me even if you knew my handle. But before I go on to that, I should probably backtrack to the last time I was in Cape Town in December and got to hang out with my old friend, Nuzhah, in my brand-spanking-new jumpsuit from 32 Clothing (but more on that in another post).

I thought that with a new year, a new layout would be required, as well as a new writing style (let’s see how capitalising letters goes). Do you like it? I also thought it would be great for my first post of the new year to be an outfit post, taken by Nuzhah’s lovely friend and photographer, Steph Lawrenson. Nuzhah, Steph and I got together on a warm yet slightly windy afternoon in Camps Bay for a beach front shoot and lunch, and to be honest, the only thing I could worry about was the seawater in my brand new Woolworths sandals, ha! Getting caught off guard by a wave made for a great photo, though (great as in ‘haha’, not ‘let me post it on my blog’ great).

And if the name Nuzhah sounds familiar, you may recognise her from The Ramp Store and The Rampage Blog. She’s the teen entrepreneur behind the amazing online jewellery store, The Ramp, and they’re currently having a huge New Years sale until the 9th of January! I got an amazing choker and body chain from them and I highly recommend their products – good quality, great prices and such a wide variety. Nuzhah and I go way back – we were both on the 2011/2012 Seventeen Magazine Style Counsel when we were in grade 9 and we just kept in touch!

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing her, and many of my old and new friends, more this year! I haven’t really made any New Years Resolutions this year, but more like “I just want to be a better me” type life goals, and I really look forward to tackling them – one of them being to spend more time with people who inspire yet support me.
