Happy Spring Day everyone! I’m currently in Joburg and I can truly say that spring has sprung – which is a tad unfortunate because I packed zero appropriate clothing. All I can hope is that by the time I get back to the Cape, they’d have received the memo about spring too.
The last week of August has really left me optimistic for September and the fourth quarter of the year in general – I’m usually a winter-lover but lately I’ve realised that my life tends to be better in warmer weather. Last week I attended a Woolworths fashion brunch (which you can read about on my Facebook page later today), did my assignments early, had a bit of a gallivant in Camps Bay – where this outfit was shot as well – and I’m currently enjoying the warmer weather in JHB at home.
Lately, I’m trying to practice the power of positive thinking and I really think it’s working. The type of energy, thoughts and proclamations you put into the world definitely carry some weight so you might as well put out some good ones and make sure you keep good ones around you. It easier said than done when you feel like your life is in shambles but trust me – deciding you’re having a good day and saying “not today, satan!” to anything that tries to ruin it can really help you out.
Anywho, this outfit was shot in a little nook on the beach and I really love my red hoodie, which I got in Istanbul last year and I’m surprised I haven’t posted about already. Come to think of it, my skirt is also from a trip my mom took to Istanbul earlier this year as well.
I love the skirt! Love the whole outfit actually! You look like a chic little red ridin hood!
