It’s always pretty tough being told on every social occasion, “Wow, you haven’t blogged in a while…”, even though my response is always “I know, okay? I came out to have a good time and I’m honestly feeling so attacked right now.” So here I am! ๐ But it’s not like I haven’t been busy doing stuff. If anything, it’s because of all the stuff I’ve been doing that when a free moment arose, I wanted to utilise it and just… chill. At least I’ve been trying my hardest to give you all an aesthetically pleasing Instagram page and I think I’ve finally done it. Side note: whoever told you university is easy clearlyย didn’t have DP.
Anywho, the end of semester is fast approaching, test season and exams are upon me (once again) and if there is one lesson I’m learning over and over again, it’s that patience is a virtue and I yearn to become virtuous. I’m also learning that maybe I need to invest in a darker shade of red lipstick and I need a new eyebrow pencil but that’s not the point.
Whether it’s understanding market structures in economics, logarithmic differentiation in maths, or for bae to get himself together and ask me out, I find myself constantly waiting for things to just click. The universe has its own timing and it’s always perfect, but sometimes, when Cape Town has its cold days and cuddles would go in, I find myself listening to Drake and wailing into the wind, “When will it be my turn?”
Patience is a tricky little snitch, but it’s a necessary evil. I could be a 35 year old crying about how millennials have an incessant need for instant gratification, but that would help no one. We’re all waiting for something in life to happen, and sometimes we just need a reminder that there’s beauty in the process. Sometimes the struggle makes the reward more gratifying, and it’s about the means, not the end.
So I’ll just carry on listening to Drake, declaring a bae into existence, and staring at economics graphs, because like Jason Mraz says, “It’ll all fall in place, if you just let go…”
P.S., how sweet are my Converse x Andy Warhol low tops? I won them at an event and there are only 120 of them in South Africa ๐
P.P.S., I’m officially a Cape Townian. Check out the sweet sunset shot below!
I really love these pants on you. I feel like you should forgo all other pant options and live the rest of your days on these. Kinda like how jaden is always wearing those Nikes

LOL thanks boo! Funny story because I actually forgot a belt and they kept falling down. #AntiFirstYearSpread or nah?
As someone who is hoping to study at UCT next year, I really appreciate how you give us a glimpse of the realities of studying and generally living in Cape Town but still juggling a social life. I totally love the authentic vibes on your blog
