Happy Spring Day everyone! I’m currently in Joburg and I can truly say that spring has sprung – which is a tad unfortunate because I packed zero appropriate clothing. All I can hope is that by the time I get back to the Cape, they’d have received the memo about spring too.

It’s amazing the kind of things that will change in a year – and I think I subconsciously chose this outfit for a reason (photographed by my lovely friend Nuzhah from The Ramp Store/The Rampage Blog, shot on Middle Campus at UCT).
outfit | balancing act
Hello, world! I’m still here. Week 2 of university has drawn to a close and all I’m feeling is tired. Can I get an ‘amen’? If there’s anything I’ve learnt in the whirlwind that is varsity, it’s balance.

On the drive to Sun City from Johannesburg, you usually have to stop at this one flea market on the way. It’s very hard to miss, and it’s definitely a huge tourist trap. For a long stretch of road, there’s African clothing markets, trinket shops, restaurants and fruit stalls on the side of the road, and when I went a few weeks ago with my family and saw the beaded Zulu necklaces, I was glad to finally find a place where I could get one!
