beauty | i’m an essence ambassador!
Hello everyone! So about a month ago, I made an announcement basically everywhere except on my actual blog that I’m one of the new essence cosmetics ambassadors for 2016! It’s truly an honour to be recognised by a brand I’ve been using for years. What this means is that I’m going to be one of the vessels giving you all the low-down on the newest essence products, with maybe a competition or two in the future.

outfit | the money shot
Sometimes when a city speaks to you, you have to listen. And lately, when it comes to fashion, I feel like Barney Stinson’s motto of “new is always better” isn’t really what Cape Town’s been saying to me. Sometimes old is good. Sometimes something so old that it’s not even yours is better.
beauty | pure active with garnier
When I was younger – or pretty much up until matric prelims – I had notoriously good skin by no efforts of my own. I seldom broke out, and if I did, it was just two or so pimples on or between my eyebrows. So suffice it to say, I was (and still am) pretty ignorant on skincare and beauty regimens. The most effort I put into my skin was removing my make up before bed and using a daily face wash and face cream. I didn’t use face scrubs, masks, cleanses, toners or change my products often – and I was fine in my complacency. Until my skin decided to forsake me.
